Can’t get to your favorite Spa because of Covid-19? Then bring the Spa home! I’m sharing 5 simple steps to create a relaxing and stress-free spa day while in Quarantine.
This pandemic has hit us really hard, but we must stay home! and I figured just because we have to stay home doesn’t mean we can’t use a little self-care and self-loving. In this article, I will guide you through five easy steps to creating your perfect spa day at home! Read on to find out more.
Step 1: Set the Mood
When it comes to spa favorites, everyone has their preferences. Music sets the mood for calmness. Pandora has a great selection of Spa music and you can create your own playlist. Some other items to include would be a comfy robe, towels, slippers, and aromatherapy candles (or an essential oil diffuser if you have one) to create a relaxing environment. You can also bring your favorite snacks or drinks too; I recommend defusing your water, I used strawberries and lime to stay hydrated.
Step 2: Face Mask
I created my own facemask with the help of Pinterest. I used Oatmeal, Honey, Coconut Oil, and Apple cider vinegar (to help my acne). This DIY honey oatmeal face mask will make you look your BEST and leave your skin feeling clean & moisturized and is easy to make. After 15 minutes you can use the same mask to exfoliate your skin. Step 3: Mani & Pedi
My husband and I gave each other a pedicure, we used whatever we had in our home (nothing fancy) to make it happen, the point is to relax and maximize the time we are spending at home.
Step 4: Soak in the Tub
We soaked for 30 minutes and allow our muscles and joints to relax in the warm water, we added our favorite bath gel, and had candles everywhere (the music still playing) running yourself a nice warm bath will do the trick!
Step 5: Get a cool shower and a light lunch/dinner
Once we soaked in the tub, we got a cool shower to help boost our blood circulation and a good body scrub to cleanse the skin. We then opted for a light Spinach salad with strawberries, tomatoes, and feta cheese.
I hope this post helps you during these hard times, and if you have children at home make sure you include them in this experience. If you have any questions please leave them in your comment below. Thank you for being here!
This is what I know best!
